Abstract

The article analyses some aspects of the politics and security dur-ing the transition from totalitarianism to democracy in Bulgaria and Russia. The most significant common features and the specific peculiarities in the political sphere and security during the transitions in both countries have been examined. The respective conclusions, based on the analysis of these issues and relevant for the future development of the states nowadays, have been made.
