Personal security and social environment

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present relations between sociopsychological phenomena and the subjective perception of personal security. The influence of interpersonal relationships, social cohesion and social support are examined in the article. Special attention is paid to trust as a condition for social integration and good relationships, supporting the experience of personal security. Relations and dependencies between personal dispositions and social environment influences are presented. Generally, the article supports the idea that personal security is a subjective experience, which depends not only on individual characteristics, but also on the character of social influences.
