Demographic aspects of the Bulgarian national security

Abstract

This report analyses the essence and the specific characteristics of the demography of our national security. On this basis the factors and the measures undertaken by the State are analysed in respect of the population as a factor for the national security and for the decrease of the risk from demographic, social and economic differences. Without the most important resource on the planet - the population, every country is foredoomed and it cannot develop concepts if it doesn’t take care for the welfare and reproduction of its own population. The deterioration of the population indexes as well as its unequal territorial distribution have negative impact on the economy and on the national security itself.
