Abstract
In the framework of a dissertation on a topic related to terrorist attacks on public sites (so‐called „soft targets“), the current empirical study was conducted among experts and specialists in the field of security from the most important public sites in Pleven. The selection of the sites was made on the basis of own experience and opinion of employees of the Ministry of Interior from Pleven, as well as on the basis of theoretical research from the dissertation in the field of terrorism risk analysis. The results obtained were generally expected, but there are also surprising answers that lead to the conclusion of a certain need to improve the qualifications of the respondents.
