In this article we will present general information about the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), historical data, organizational management structure of NYMEX, traded goods, NYMEX stock exchange terminology, daily volume and open interest exchange, types of traded transactions, underlying asset – crude oil, forecasts for future development of the oil markets.
