Abstract

The aim of the work was to assess the impact of the implementation of agri-environmental-climate commitments under the Rural Development Program for 2014-2020 on the economic security of farmers from the Podkarpacie region in Poland. The decisions of Podkarpacie farmers regarding the number of agri-environmental-climate commitments undertaken and the value of payments granted for the implementation of the following packages and variants were analyzed in detail. In 2015-2020, Podkarpacie farmers received a total of PLN 274 032 475.30 under the implementation of agri-environmental-climate programs, significantly affecting the economic security of their farms. Podkarpacie farmers implemented the largest number of agri-environmental-climate commitments in the Lubaczów and Mielec districts (25 packages/variants each). The least interest in implementing agri-environmental-climate commitments was shown by farmers living in the following poviats: Lesko (11 packages/variants) and Ropczyce-Sędziszów (12 packages/variants).
